Suva to Nadi in an electric vehicle
The Queens Road from Suva to Nadi is about 190km. For most modern EVs that is comfortably within a single charge, but with a small charging network the planning matters more than the distance.
Before you leave
Start full. If you are charging at home or a resort overnight on AC, that is the cheapest and simplest charge you will get. Check the network status page the morning you travel.
On the road
The Coral Coast section has long stretches between towns. Air conditioning, hills and headwinds all cost range, so plan on arriving with at least 20 percent rather than the number on the dash at departure. Yadua, just west of Sigatoka, is the natural midpoint stop, and it is where the BulaCharge Coral Coast site sits, at True Mart on the Queens Road.
Keep a margin. In a small network, the charger you were counting on being busy or offline is the difference between a stop and a tow.
Arriving in Nadi
BulaCharge's Nadi site on the Queens Road means you can arrive low and be back to 80 percent in under an hour. Check the charger map before you travel.
The return
Charge to 80 percent in Nadi and you have the range for Suva with margin. If you are staying on the Coral Coast, ask your resort whether it has destination charging or is on our development list, and tell us if it is not. Driver demand is how we choose the next sites.
