BulaCharge

About

Building the network that makes electric driving work in Fiji

Electric vehicles are arriving in Fiji faster than the infrastructure to charge them. BulaCharge exists to close that gap, on Fijian terms.

Our story

A new company with one job

BulaCharge was founded to do one thing: build the EV charging network Fiji does not yet have. Electric vehicles are arriving faster than anywhere to charge them, and the networks that exist elsewhere were designed for countries with different roads, different power and different wallets. We are building one designed here, for here.

Reliable first

A charger that does not work is worse than no charger at all. Uptime is the product, and every point on the network is monitored live.

Built for Fiji

Designed around Fiji's roads, Fiji's grid and the places Fijians already stop, rather than copied from somewhere else.

Powered by Fijian sun

Charging can be paired with on-site solar generation rather than running on imported fuel by another name.

Powering an EV future

Why Fiji, why now

Fiji's tourism sector is electrifying its fleets. Government has signalled EV charging concessions. New EVs are landing at the ports every month. What has not kept pace is somewhere to charge them. Every EV sold without a network to support it is a driver who ends up frustrated, and a story that puts the next buyer off. We think that gap is Fiji's to close, with infrastructure designed here rather than imported wholesale from somewhere with different roads, different power and different wallets.

How we build

Reliable, monitored, and designed for the grid we have

Every BulaCharge site is remotely monitored from the day it is energised, so faults are found before drivers are. Where grid supply is limited, sites can be paired with on-site solar and battery storage so a fast charger stays fast.
